Corfu is a great destination for families, it is the second largest Ionian island due to its strategic importance the island is steeped in history meaning that there is lots to visit and see. Visit the Achilleion Palace, built in 1890 as a summer palace for the Empress of Austria see the stunning interiors, lush gardens and breath taking sea views. James Bond fans may recognise it from For your Eyes Only.
For a bit more fun and excitement why not visit the water park, it is great for families of all ages with exciting waterslides, a giant whirlpool, lazy river and activities pool, there is also and adventure playground and mini cars for the little ones.
Santorini offers a more romantic atmosphere, a great honeymoon destination or for a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
One of the most southern of the Greek islands, Fira is the most popular resort with the iconic cliff top views, but also why not try Oia it can be a little quieter and just as beautiful. Take a boat tour and soak up the healing waters of the hot springs at Palea Kameni as well as visiting the volcanic island of Nea Kameni. These tours take place throughout the day or to turn up the romance why not book on the sunset tour.
Mykonos is definitely the place to go if you are looking for some great nightlife. Filled each year with sophisticated party goers and celebrity enthusiasts, visit the designer shops and art galleries in Mykonos town, or visit Agios Ioannis for the most stunning beaches the island has to offer.
Crete by far is one of the most diverse islands great for everyone, from family holidays to couples retreats to outdoor adventures. Rumored as the birthplace of Zeus Crete is at the forefront of Greek mythology and as such is covered with ancient ruins and fascinating history.
For family fun the island has numerous sandy beaches as well as the islands biggest waterpark (Limnoupolis) located in Chania. The adventurer might prefer to head to the south of the island where there are a number of walks and hikes for all abilities be sure to check out the Samaria Gorge. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in Chania Old Town and the Venetian Harbour, couples can take a stroll through the cobbled streets taking in the architecture before sitting down at one of the many restaurants for lunch.
Each August on Crete there is the Pangia festival, every town and village across the island host their own individual festivities. Get swept up in the Greek culture and celebrate this lively event!
You can’t help but fall in love with this laid back destination, great for adult boutique stays. Explore the amazing caves and underground lakes, this island also has some of the most beautiful coves and beaches.
The seaside town of Skala started life as a small fishing village, you can enjoy beautiful costal walks or relax on one of the many blue flag beaches that surround this area.
